Our Executive Committee

• Performs the tasks of the Commission in between meetings of the Commission.
• Approves the overall budget, programme, projects and work-plan of the Commission and forwards these to the NEPAD Steering Committee for ratification.
• Appoints Commissioners who are members of the Programme Coordinating Committee in case of a vacancy and forwards these to the NEPAD Steering Committee for ratification.
• Recommends to the NEPAD Steering Committee concerning the appointment of the Chairperson in case of a vacancy.
• Appoints the Head of the Project Office of the Commission at the recommendation of the Executive Deputy Chairperson.
• Meets in ordinary session once every two months.
