The annual Ministerial meeting 6th & 7th November - and the Executive Committee Meeting 3rd & 4th November | 3 November 2008 |

The NEPAD e-Africa Commission (the Commission) is holding its annual Ministerial meeting in Johannesburg on 6th & 7th November, 2008. The Commission is the highest decision making body and comprises Ministers of Communication and / or ICTs from 21 NEPAD countries, African Union Commissioners and other VIPS, amongst others. The annual meeting reviews progress with the implementation of priority NEPAD projects and determines strategies for progressing NEPAD’s objectives.

The Ministerial meeting will be preceded by the 10th meeting of the NEPAD e-Africa Commission Executive Committee – 3rd & 4th November. The Executive Committee governs the organisation in-between meetings of the Commission and comprises top government officials with ICT responsibilities from countries of the Heads of State and Government Implementation Committee (HSGIC). The Executive Committee will deliberate on NEPAD’s progress to date and draft proposals for the Ministers’ consideration. Forty high ranking delegates from across the continent are expected to participate in the meetings.
